Due to the social distancing recommendations during the pandemic Hike for Hospice this year will be held as a virtual event. Help support end-of-life care from Hills to Enterprise Creek. We have two possible ways for you to participate virtually:
- Walk at home and share your photos! Walk in honour of a loved one or our amazing front-line health workers who are working so hard to keep us all safe. You can register on Canada Helps if you’d like to participate personally – Registration is now open!
Community members who can, pledge $15 dollars (or whatever amount you can manage) to hospice. In turn they have a youth partner who is willing to do an activity for an hour. Example: I donate $15 and I am partnered with a student. He contacts me and says he will ride his unicycle for an hour around town. He gets a photo of him on his unicycle and we post it on the school page and the hospice page. I then give my money to hospice.Youth can do any one of a number of activities;
- bike ride, a hike, a walk to Silverton or the other way, skateboard, go for a run, skip rope, shoot baskets. All while respecting the social distance guidelines.
Please use the contact form on this page to pledge $ to sponsor a student and they will contact you to arrange an activity.
