Come see the new improved office space, with comfortable seating and Louise Ducharme’s amazing art on the wall!  It all creates a cozy atmosphere now!  There is coffee and tea!  I am in the office Thursdays and Fridays from 10-1pm.

New Website and…  Roni and Ana doing an amazing job!  Soon we have new brochures, business cards, volunteer name tags with the new logo.  We expect to be launching  the new Website and materials in our newly renovated office sometime in June.  This will be a great opportunity to raise our profile in the community as well appreciating our wonderful, compassionate volunteers.  Date will be announced soon!

Teams of volunteers have been visiting long term clients.  We continue to develop our Compassionate Friendship Program at the Pavilion and planning on more outreach into the community.

One hour of visiting makes a powerful difference in the lives of our clients. That stimulation is invaluable and improves their daily outlook.  Please inquire if you consider joining one of the friendship teams.

1 palliative client was supported this month in the pavilion.

Staff at pavilion: There seems to be some confusion with the staff on how to best collaborate with hospice.  We will be meeting with them soon, and welcome any feedback or suggestions you may have!

Hospice volunteer training was a success with 11 participants.  2 from Nakusp, 6 repeaters, 3 new local participants: 2 women, 1 man.  Held at the pavilion.
